Our commitment
Supporting the communities we work alongside.
Our crews, suppliers and clients live in the same provinces we work in. When those communities are healthy, connected and growing, everyone does better, and that includes us.
Through partnerships, sponsorships and local initiatives, CJ MUNI contributes to stronger, more connected communities across Papua New Guinea. We keep it practical. We listen first, work through the people who already lead locally, and stay involved for the long term.
How we work with communities
- 01
Listen first
Communities set the priorities. We ask what’s needed before we offer anything.
- 02
Work through local leaders
We partner with ward committees, churches, associations and groups that already lead in their communities.
- 03
Bring what we do well
Equipment, logistics, materials and practical skills: the capability we use every day, put to local use.
- 04
Stay for the long term
We build relationships that outlast a single event or project, and we keep showing up.

Where we contribute
Practical support, close to home.
Six areas where we put people, resources and capability to work in the communities around us.
Community programs
Backing local programs in health, education, youth and safety that are run by and for the community.
Sponsorships & events
Supporting sport, school, cultural and community events that bring people together.
Rural & village communities
Helping with the things that are hardest to reach from remote areas: access, materials, transport and facilities.
Local groups & associations
Partnering with women’s and youth groups, sporting clubs, church groups and landowner associations.
Local development
Contributing equipment, know-how and materials to community-led infrastructure and facilities.
Social & economic impact
Employing locally, buying locally and building skills that stay in the community.
CJ MUNI sponsoredSponsorship
Backing the teams and events that bring people together.
Local sport builds discipline, teamwork and pride, and gives young people a place to belong. That’s why CJ MUNI sponsors community rugby, and why our emblem runs out with the players every match day.
We also welcome sponsorship requests for:
- Grassroots sport
- School events
- Cultural events
- Community fundraisers
THE POWER OF PARTNERSHIP
Have a community initiative we should know about?
If you represent a community group, association, school or local organisation, we’d like to hear from you. Tell us what you’re working on, who it serves and how we could help.
